It was a lovely to wake up and peer out of the van windows to that gorgeous view. I put on some running kit and got Ernie on his lead. Out of the van door and the view was even better.

We set off for a little joglet partly to suss out where we were heading on today’s planned walk. On our run we spotted what might be a bar for later. We returned to the site after 30 minutes of of running (me) , sniffing and weeing (Ernie). We were in time for me to do the joys of waiting for Ashes tickets to go on sale. Whilst waiting we enjoyed the view from the van. It would be easy to spend hours watching the sun and cloud casting changing light onto the glorious mountains. Would be even nicer to do this sitting outside the van but it was a bit chilly in the wind this morning.

After a successful purchase we set off on our walk. The walk took us to a forest and up to a waterfall and on from there. There were great viewing points for the waterfall.

As we were admiring the view a couple of men walked past wearing wetsuits and carrying helmets. Curious as to what they were doing we did a spot of stalking. After a while of watching them they eventually jumped into the water above the main part of the falls. Called Canyoning apparently. Looks fun!

We carried on the walk and were rewarded with a Tunnocks…. The must have biscuit for a walk in Scotland

The views were lovely on our return down the hill.

Once back at site we rested, showered and had lunch. When then spent a lovely couple of hours sitting looking at the view. It was even nice enough to sit outside. At one point I took my jacket off, typically the sun went back in at that point. We had found a packet of flumps that we had packed. Perfect for a hot chocolate with a view.

After our sit in the sun we decided to have a walk to investigate what looked like a nearby bar. What a cracking little bar it is, they need to sort their signage so it is more obvious. Friendly staff and locals. Great beer from a local microbrewery but sadly no treat for Ernie.

We strolled back from the pub for food and a glass of wine watching the sun go down. A lovely day at a lovely place. Will be sad to leave tomorrow but hopefully more nice places are ahead.
